Roy has over twenty years’ experience in Road Asset Management and was the architect of the SMEC Pavement Management System. Roy has worked on many projects involving the implementation of PMS for many Local Government Authorities. He has also been involved in the training of Local Government Asset Engineers in the use of the SMEC System to develop optimised works programs and carry out strategic analysis of road networks to determine future network funding requirements. Roy is a visiting lecturer in the field of Pavement Management for the NSW Local Government Training Institute.

Peter Batson

Peter has done numerous courses, conferences and workshops on pavement management and maintenance management systems, asphalt and emulsion wearing coarse treatments, stabilisation of subgrade and base pavement courses and epoxy and polymer additives for concrete works. He has over thirty two years of experience in Local Government and 18 years of experience with the PMS systems. He also has done budget preparation for Capital and Recurrent works programs. He has managed the construction and maintenance of local roads, VicRoads arterial roads, drainage, footpaths and kerb and channel, both in urban and rural environments. He also has experience in the following : selection and implementation of pavement wearing coarse treatments use of conventional and polymer modified spray seals,use of conventional, stonemastics and ultrathin asphalts, cement stabilised pavement rehabilitation, supervision of both contract and council day labour.

Sukru has over 30 years’ experience in business process improvement and the designing holistic line of business systems.
Sukru designed systems for Atako/Iskmar (Turkey), Hong Kong Telecom, Fujitsu (Australia), Telstra, Charles Schwab (Australia), TD Waterhouse (Australia), Colonial, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He holds BEng (CS) from the University of Hacettepe (Turkey), MBus (Fin) and MBus (TM) from the University of Sydney
